janet jackson giappone tourTokyo - Janet Jackson ha posticipato la tappa giapponese della sua tournée, citando la crisi economica come causa della sua decisione. Lo hanno reso noto ieri i rappresentanti della cantante. Jackson, che ha iniziato il suo Rock Witchu Tour a settembre, avrebbe dovuto fare cinque concerti in Giappone a febbraio. "Sfortunatamente l'economia mondiale non permette a Janet di fare un viaggio in questo momento", ha detto il manager della cantante, Kenneth Crear. Non sono stati forniti altri dettagli sulla decisione, né sono stati menzionati progetti di fissare nuove date. La cantante aveva già posticipato sei concerti in nord America poiché soffriva di vertigini ed emicrania, e a novembre aveva annunciato che non avrebbe fissato nuove date. Jackson, 42 anni, è la sorella minore di Michael Jackson, icona della musica pop. La sua tournée, iniziata a Vancouver il 7 settembre, è la prima dopo sette anni.

Giappone, governo migliora giudizio economia, rischio deflazione

L'esecutivo nipponico ha alzato il giudizio sulla situazione economica del paese per la prima volta da otto mesi, ma ha ribadito che la deflazione rappresenta un pericolo e ha invitato la Banca centrale (BoJ) a dare ulteriore supporto all'economia.

E' da luglio 2009 che il governo dice che l'economia sta mostrando "segni di ripresa" o anche solo "una ripresa", ma nel documento pubblicato questo mese ha aggiunto la parola "salda", suggerendo un lieve miglioramento.

Il governo ha inoltre dichiarato che lavorerà con la BoJ per battere la deflazione e assicurare la ripresa, continuando a esercitare pressioni sull'istituto centrale affinché allenti la politica monetaria.

"Il miglioramento della visione governativa sull'economia non significa che il Giappone è più vicino a superare la deflazione. Discutiamo le due questioni a livelli diversi", ha spiegato Keisuke Tsumura, segretario parlamentare del gabinetto con il compito di redigere il documento. "L'uscita dalla deflazione è ancora lontana", ha aggiunto.

I prezzi al consumo, esclusi alimentari ed energia, a gennaio sono scesi per il tredicesimo mese consecutivo.

Il ministro delle Finanze Naoto Kan ha detto di voler uscire dalla deflazione quest'anno e che sarebbe desiderabile un'inflazione dell'1%.

La BoJ, che prevede che la deflazione durerà ancora qualche anno, è probabile che questa settimana decida di allentare ulteriormente la politica monetaria, secondo quanto riferito da fonti a Reuters.

L'istituto è però diviso al proprio interno.

"Spero che la BoJ prenderà le misure necessarie per affrontare l'attuale situazione economica del Giappone" ha detto il viceministro delle Finanze Yohihiko Noda.
